My favourite were McCormick's kisses (molasses taffy)which were only available at halloween. I think I was the only one who liked them. Probably why they stopped making them. Of course the chocolate bars were special - they never had them when I was really small - and they've kind of taken over along with little bags of chips. Hardly anyone gives away the suckers and rockets and gumballs that they used to.Jeanniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15320507412459242451noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2425548329499971328.post-37279949816846240232009-10-31T08:26:26.668-07:002009-10-31T08:26:26.668-07:00Thanks for reminding me of the candy cigarettes. We were even allowed to play with toy guns, and we could roam about freely on our own.Anvilcloudhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07974744042579564912noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2425548329499971328.post-41556956959500387382009-10-31T08:15:28.835-07:002009-10-31T08:15:28.835-07:00I so agree with you! I too am having trouble opening a friend's blog and one of my good blogger friends copy and pasted it to me in an e-mail.....we do have wonderful friends in blogsville.<br />I remember Halloween when I was a kid, it was so much fun. I agree times have changed for sure and I remember the same candy you do. We would fill a pillow case and then run home to get another one to fill and all us kids would sit around when we were done for the night, seeing who got the most, sharing everything that happened when we were out, laughing and trading candies....I love those memories. Have a Happy Halloween my friend....luv ya...HugsBerniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03024565921761129108noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2425548329499971328.post-30961676639929777442009-10-30T20:50:17.507-07:002009-10-30T20:50:17.507-07:00Yes I do remember those.
