Another wonderful day in the neighborhood

I awoke early when the dog jumped on the bed and slammed me in the face with his nose. It was his way of letting me know he wanted outside. Hubby normally does this but he was at work at 6 a.m. I had to get up to make some phone calls early anyway so I just stayed up.

It was lovely out for this time of the year. I enjoyed the warm weather we are having. It is so nice but I am afraid it will be cold and rainy some time this weekend.

I laughed when my daughter called and told me her baby wanted to talk to us. We spent quite some time conversing about whatever her doll was doing wrong or right. I think that is what she was talking about anyway. Hubby told my daughter we would be down in the spring and that seemed to make her happy. Traveling during the holiday season is too much of a hassle.

All in all it was a good day....

  1. Will it just be you and hubby for the holidays? Somehow I cannot picture you without your daughters sharing turkey dinner....so glad you have had such a nice day.

  2. Whoa Garnet, When I read the first paragraph of your post I had to laugh.

Now I know what you really meant but at first glance,
I stupidly thought you ment that your hubby jumps on the bed and slams you in the face to let you know that he wants to go out!
Can you picture that? It's how my mind works lately!
I hope that your holidays are nice and peaceful!
    Love Di

  3. Dexter slaps me with his paw and then sticks his nose in my face to get me up. Doesn't matter if there are 5 other people who could take him outside - it's gotta be momma
