I had a great weekend. I would have been on sooner but my arthritis is acting up again and my legs have really bee hurting. Not sure why but I will be seeing the Dr this Friday and he might be able to tell me why. I hope so.

Saturday did not start out so well. I thought we would not be able to go to the parties but @ 1 pm the repair shop called and said it was done. We could not make both of them since I had to do some shopping and Derricks party started @2. I had not seen Cindy for some time and we used to do everything together. Even after she had her youngest baby and we did not stop doing things together til Amy got older. I love Cindy and adore her kids and grandkids so I decided to go there and am so glad I did.

We had a great time getting caught up with what has been going on in her life lately. It was fun. I wish my grand baby was here I would have introduced her to Aubry, Cindys grand baby. I would have been fun watching them run about.

Sunday I went to church and while sitting there, one of the deacons came over and gave me a gift made by another friend. It was a gold box and in it she had one of my favorite poems in it

Life is but a weaving between my lord and me
I cannot chose the colors
He worketh steadily

Oft times he weaveth sorrow
And I, in foolish pride
Forget he sees the upper
And I the underside.

Not til the loom is silent
And the shuttles cease to fly
Shall God unroll the canvas
And explain the reasons why.

The dark threads are as needful
In the Weavers skillful hand
As the threads of gold and silver
In the pattern he has planned.

He knows, He loves, He cares
Nothing this truth can dim.
He gives his very best to those
Who leave the choice with Him.

She also sent several verses that I can look to at any time I need to find a scrpiture to help me with whatever troubles I may be having. I thought that was very kind of her and I am gratful to her for it. It made my day. *s*
