Faded Memories...

I don't know what got into me but I decided to go through some of my pictures and sort out the ones I want to keep and the ones that no one will know who is in them and they have to toss them after I die.  Most of the ones I am discarding are not family members or anyone my girls will remember.  Just people I knew long ago and they are no longer around.  I sent several to my cousin because they were of her, her husband, and my aunt.  Her husband has been dead several years and the pics would  be a reminder of  much happier times spent at their camp. We were hunting and fishing and having a great time.

Then there are those school pics that make you laugh.  I remember this third grade picture cause I had on one of my favorite dresses.  It was dark green with green and white piping that trimmed the dress.  Back in the day, we had to wear dresses and as much as I would have liked to have worn jeans, this dress is one that I loved and now that I think of it, I cannot recall why.

Anyway, it is fun looking back and thinking of what things were like then.

  1. We all have those old pictures and it is amazing to see how we've changed over the years. That is an awesome picture of you at the top of this blog. Lovely.

  2. Your dress was probably very becoming on you or the colours may have just appealed to you at the time. I remember a few dresses I had like that. And I remember HAVING to wear dresses. I hated it in the winter so much - I hated being cold. I hated leotards/pantyhose - always riding down. Once in highschool, when we could wear pants, I have rarely worn a dress except for dressier occasions. I remember the cat's eye glasses from back then too.

  3. Oh don't you love it? You haven't changed a bit between the two pictures. My mother cut my hair exactly like yours too. What a hoot isn't it??
