Life's Ups and Downs

Yesterday was one of those up and down days.  My day started out with us worrying over whether or not my husband would be going on strike and about our insurance and what I would do if they went on strike.  Well, they voted not to do that and I was feeling very good about that.  Then my daughter called and told me she had gotten a report from her dr that she has tumors and polyps on her uterus.  She has had the hpv virus for years and has not kept up to date on it so that really sank me down into a low hole. He wanted  her to go in for a biopsy in April.

I was playing with Alix and feeling a little worried but was able to hide and was doing real well til she called two hours ago and said her Dr. called her and wants her to come in  sooner if she can.I am worried. It could be cancer. I know it is not the death sentence it once was and there are so many new drugs and treatments out there.    I am just worried that if it is, she left it go too long.   I hope that is not the  case.

Any way, I am keeping my fingers crossed and praying that she does not have cancer.  All I can do for now....

  1. Hopefully a hysterectomy will take care of it all and nothing else is necessary. But yes, she must address it immediately. It's scary not knowing so I know what you're going through. Just focus on the little one and hubby!

  4. Sending my prayers along...I've known a few women who have fought and won against cancer (cervical/uterine). HPV must be a huge issue these days. I wonder if they are underplaying the dangers even as they push the vaccination.
