You can tell fall is just around the corner when you walk into my kitchen and smell nothing but spices and tomatoes cooking on the stove. I wanted to try to make tomato soup this year and I finally got some made. It smells so good. I think I will freeze it rather then can it.
I have spent part of the day taking the little one out to look for fairies in the woods behind our house. I intend to take the camera along tomorrow so I can get some pics of her building the houses for the fairies to live in. It is funny. We will be walking along and she will raise her hand and whisper, 'Stop, Omma. The fairies want to cross the road' I have to stop and let the cross. Some times when she is not looking, I will toss a stick into the leaves and she gets excited cause the fairies are scampering away. *s* My husband sneaks up there cause he has these little houses Kris made when she was in school for a project she had to make. They have straw roofs and he plants them up there before he goes to work and Alix thinks the fairies are busy building their homes at night.
I love to feed kids stories and let their imagination run wild. We are having so much fun with these fairies in the woods. I guess I want my legacy to her to be one where she feels free to let her imagination run wild. I think it is very important to let kids do that.
