I hate asthma, absolutely Hate it.  I was diagnosed with it several years ago and used arbuterol for treatment.  I have not been bothered with it for some time but this summer has wreaked havoc on my lungs.  I hate waking up and not being able to get my breath. It is a real scary feeling.  I got two hours sleep last night and the night before was about the same.

I think I might have told you all about my foster sister.  She had cancer of the bowel and they thought it was under control.  Now she is being tested for bone cancer. I have to call her later today to find out what the tests showed.

In the mean time, I am having eyelid surgery at the end of the month.  My eyelid dropped way down. One of the reason I do not like having my picture taken the last year or so.  They are going to raise it so I can see better.   And my foot might have to be operated on...yah, getting old is a blast. *s*

We got a peck of tomatoes from our garden.  I was able to get a nice big pot of spaghetti sauce yesterday.  I will can it today.  I love the canned sauce much better then the stuff you get in the store.

  1. Ugh to asthma. The thought gives me the creeps. I'm glad I don't have it. No cancer either.

  2. Sorry about your foster sister. It must be hard for her to have to have cancer again - and for all of you who care for her.

I hope your surgery goes well - I'm sure it's a common enough procedure that little can go wrong.

  4. I was diagnosed with asthma when I had pneumonia that wouldn't clear up. I went to a pulmonary specialists and he told me I had asthma. So he gave me prednisone and the next day I was breathing again. I have an inhaler and have hardly ever had to use it thankfully. But I do wonder as I get older what will happen. I'm sorry about your sister. Hope it hasn't gone to the bone. My stepson just had his eyelid raised as well. He said it was a piece of cake. Hugs!
