I had a rough time sleeping last night.  Could not fall asleep til about four. I think it might be because I am in the middle of a great Book.  Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.  It is a mystery that is keeping me enthralled. It is one of those books that drags the first three or four chapters but if you stick with it, you reach a point where you cannot put it down. I finally looked at the clock and realized I had to be at the chiropractors in a few hours so turned the lights out and tossed and turned the rest of the night.

After my apt. We went shopping. I don't know about the rest of you but I am not a shopper. I have in mind what I want to get so I get in there and get out again.  I don't like crowds or crowded stores.  My daughter on the other hand is a shopper who will stand there for hours looking at things and going over them. Move on to something else then go back to the same place and start all over again.  She just likes to shop and I end up waiting for what seems like hours for her to buy one or two things.  It takes forever for her to make up her mind.  Drives me nuts.

Drives her father nuts too.  Right now I feel like I am going to pass out so I think I will take a nap right now.

  1. I had a tough night too. I woke up for good about an hour before you went to sleep.

  2. I do not like shopping either...the crowds or spending money. :) I am also horrible at making decisions or deciding so put the 2 together and you can have a mess. I avoid shopping as much as I can. The kind of shopping I do like is garage sales or second hand stores.

I love books that you get so involved in that you can't put it down. Hope you got a good nap today. :) Happy weekend to you and yours. XX

If I am in the mood I don't mind shopping at all, but I have to be in the mood....:-)Hugs

  4. Garnet I know exactly how you feel. While being sleep deprived is not a good thing, reading a great book is priceless. I read tons of books one right after the other but when you get one that grips you by the horns and you can't put it down you know it. The last book I remember doing that to me was Stephen King's The Stand. Maybe that's how naps came into play. Good books!!

  5. I hope you get a good nap in Garnet. I hate shopping too. My mom used to take so LONG in the stores. I'm like you, get in and get out!

  6. I bought this book based on your comment about it. I just started it and it is a little scattered but I can see where it will come together. Didn't realize it was a large book. I love a book that goes on and on (when you love it that is).
I'll let you know what I think of it.
