Okay...we do have a doctor who has diagnosed the hair loss as alopecia for sure cause of the fact that I lost all my body hair too.  He said that was the main clue.  Guess I can deal with that.  I finally know for sure that is the problem and can deal with the wigs or perhaps shaving off what little bit I have and  going bald but I doubt I will do that.

I do feel a bit confused right now. I cannot hold a grudge. it is not in me.  So this one woman who is mean to so many lost a loved one.   I was chastised by many of my Christians friends for telling her I was sorry for what happened.  They said I was wrong.  This is one time I felt I was right in going against the grain and offering her my sympathy.  I think that as they are Christians it would not have hurt them to forget for one moment this woman was wrong in what she did and show they can be compassionate to those who need it.  I am not going to tell them they are wrong in what they are doing but I am not going to let them make me feel I was wrong either.  I may write on this in my other blog.

We had the little one out for lunch.  We took her there after she sat for several hours in the car, playing and waiting patiently while the eye surgeon looked at my eye and decided what he was going to have to do when he operates in July. I have to have the lid on my left eye lifted....long story on that one.  But we did get a pic of her at the restaurant................... She loves chocolate.

  1. I knew a girl with alopecia who just went bald. I thought her very brave - and she was quite attractive. I doubt many have that much spunk. But at least you know. Would your hair ever grow back? I know nothing about it.

Also, I think you are right. The woman, no matter what she is like is grieving and that can be acknowledged without appearing to be a hypocrite. The others are holding resentment and doing this for spite and revenge. I applaud you for taking the high road.

  2. You surely did the right thing and you need to keep on doing what you know you should. The spirit is definately leading you. The little one is so cute working on two at one time.

  3. Jeannie...no my hair will not grow back but I can get on with life and stop looking for ways and getting my hopes built up for finding ways to get it to grow back.

  4. I have a friend with the same thing, even has lost her eyebrows, she wears different wigs and draws on her eyebrows every day....I think I would just go bald but you have to do what is comfortable for you.
I think it was the right thing to do by offering your sympathy to that lady, she needs to be acknowledged no matter what she has done. I have a problem with people always trying to keep score......we are all human beings first.
Your granddaughter is so cute, good luck with your eye surgery.....:-)Hugs

  5. Garnet...You did what you felt was best and that's all that matters. You have to live with your conscience and if it was right for you to console her, then so be it. No explanation needed. The little one is just too cute. So glad you have her to cheer you up when you're down. You are a very open minded and loving person. Hope all goes well with your eye surgery.

  7. A lot of trials and tribulations, but I imagine that lunching out with that little one is just about the greatest thing.
